Just so ya know ......

ok - so my last post was in April and today is the 26th of July. When you live a retired life there isn't much to post about.
Let's see, I think I had two trips up to Chicago visiting my mother since April. It's quite amazing how well she is doing for a woman who will be celebrating her 103rd birthday in November! After her fall in March, and re-hab for more than 8 weeks, she is home with my sister.  Mom was pretty weak and shaky on her feet, loosing her balance often. We now have a lady coming 6 days a week from 8AM - 5PM to care for mom.  This gives my sister freedom to work three days a week and some much needed free time.  I saw quite an improvement in mom this last visit.  She is remarkable, getting up from her chair with no help, walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night (supervision a must!) on her own.
 
This summer has been much to hot, even for me!  As much as I hate being cold during the winter, and love escaping to Florida, I hate this intense heat of summer time.  I'm with my daughter - moving to the  Northwest (Washington state, Oregon) would be ideal! Sure wish God would think so too. My husband of 42 years never makes any decisions or moves unless God telsl him - and I don't see any major moves coming soon.  BUT, who knows! God does work in mysterious ways, never early, never late, but always just in the right time. Perhaps another move is in our future.  I can only hope it will be to the ideal climate and that is Washington!
