Monday - aug. 27

Monday, monday....hmmm. A slow mover for me today, I guess, just like most all my days lately.  Motivation is what I need....being a senior and retired definitely has it's draw backs. Many good things, but having been used to a rigid schedule for so many years, I find myself falling apart, giving in to laziness.  I'm going to start a new lifestyle - getting up earlier, showering BEFORE dressing, and then be productive.

Today was my youngest granddaughter's first day of school! She was in my thoughts and prayers last night as I went to bed and my first this morning as I woke up.  I know she was ready and excited about going, I pray that she is as excited about going back tomorrow.  Such a little angel.  Her big sister is now in seventh grade - a true junior higher!  At 12 years of age she made her profession of faith at church yesterday. I pray for her too, that she follows in the foot steps of Jesus her Savior and Lord.

On to the older girls! Victoria is off to college, having completed her first full week and on to her second.  It sounds as if she is acclimating well. Loves her classes and gets along well with her roommate.  Even finds time to spend time with Floyd - her buddy who got to come to college with her!  Floyd being her Thoroughbred horse. Luckily, her English prof's wife boards  her horse at the same stable as Floyd.  Makes it nice to see your profs enjoying the same sport as you.   Well that leaves Margaret!  Our middle child of 16!  God has blessed her with a talent in art.  Planning on attending Columbia College in Chicago when it's time for her to be sent off into the world on her own.  Oh my! I'm praying that she will be able to study with the People to People program this summer.  She would greatly benefit !

And - me - going to get  involved in some women's study and a faith based project....God direct me.  Thanks for listening to this ole lady.
